BrainsWay Deep TMS treatment is proven safe and effective, with no known systemic side effects. The most common side effect is temporary, mild pain or discomfort at the treatment site, usually experienced during the first week of sessions. Occasionally, patients may also experience muscle twitching or jaw pain.

BrainsWay’s Deep TMS treatment typically spans four to six weeks, with patients attending sessions five times per week, each lasting about 20 minutes. Depending on the specific mental health condition, additional maintenance sessions may be recommended following the initial course of treatment.

Deep TMS treatment uses BrainsWay’s patented H-Coil technology to enhance brain activity and improve mental health. A helmet containing the H-coil is placed over the patient's head, delivering magnetic pulses to specific brain areas. Spravato can fall under the medical or pharmacy benefit depending on coverage. Freedom Behavioral Health will work with your insurance to discover which benefit is used.

Your health insurance company sets what will be your portion of the cost and may pay the rest after your deductible is met. It is specific to your benefit. We will offer a complimentary cost estimate and provide this to you before your first treatment.

Sedation, drowsiness, dizziness, feeling disconnected from self, thoughts, space and time or dissociation, nausea.

Twice a week for the first month, then once a week for the second month or (weeks 5-8) and then you and your healthcare provider will decide on a maintenance plan specific to you.

Feel free to bring a book, computer, work or any form of entertainment to help you relax! We will have a TV with access to Netflix and a few other applications. 

Do not eat or drink 1-2 hours before your first treatment to help with any nausea or vomiting, otherwise food and drink is acceptable.
